The moral bankruptcy of the left

Diposkan oleh Zainal Arifain

The depths to which the left sinks when dealing with anything it doesn't understand or fears can never be underestimated.

Here we have an utter slimeball UAF mong describing an attack on a young female who had fallen off a coach carrying EDL patriots that had been attacked and clearly gloating about the violence and thuggery on display.

The attack on the coach.

The attack on the woman who had her jaw fractured but is now out of hospital.

The police? Well they arrested everyone on the coach (though not the young woman)
Fortunately the video shows despite some ludicrous claims by various Leftist and Muslim groups that the EDL had provoked the attack just exactly who the barbarians in our society are, and they aren't the EDL. You can imagine the headlines if the EDL attacked a coach of Islamists, the front page wouldn't be big enough.

Money for nothing

Once again the looters as Richard North of EU Referendum calls them are making off with our hard earned cash without any regrets or shame.
Mail.
Quango chiefs are pocketing payoffs of up to £250,000 each as their discredited agencies are wound up.
Nine bodies set up to boost local economies are to be scrapped next year after being criticised as wasteful and bureaucratic.
Figures obtained by the Daily Mail reveal the generous deals for senior executives at the Regional Development Agencies created and championed by John Prescott.
Advantage West Midlands admitted that one unnamed official received £200,000 to £250,000. The body’s corporate director Tim Gebbels also walked away with £109,512 when he left.
To date, 15 senior quango executives have received payments of more than £100,000.
Seven of the quangos have so far revealed that they have laid off 799 staff at a total cost of £23.4million, equal to almost £30,000 each.
But the top officials are getting much more. Stacy Hall, director of communications and tourism at One North East, received £120,890 when she took voluntary redundancy last September.
Stephen Peacock, enterprise and innovation director at the South West RDA, was handed £113,701 in a taxpayer-funded deal. In many cases, senior staff appear to have been given the equivalent of a year’s salary.
One thing the Mail fails to mention is that many of these looters then move onto another well paid sinecure at another Quango or local authority and the whole ghastly process of robbing the taxpayer begins again.
What they seem to forget is names are being taken, faces remembered and lengths of hempen rope and/or piano wire being imagined around their necks for the inevitable day our patience breaks and our wrath is forthcoming. Every day brings it closer and the more they rob us the greater it becomes.
All we need is a powercut during the X Factor final and we'll have the bastards...
Well I can dream can't I?

You can always rely on the left to shoot themselves in the foot even when they think they are offering sound advice

DON'T PANIC :: DON'T TALK

This article has been hidden under the site's editorial guidelines.
If you think that you might be identified from photos or footage from recent events, then here's some advice....
DON'T panic. The photos released are not necessarily evidence. Just because the police have a blurry photo that might be of you doesn't mean they know who you are.
DON'T Hand yourself in. The police often use the psychological pressure of knowing they have your picture to persuade you to “come forward” when they don't know who you are or have any evidence against you.
DON'T assume that because you can identify yourself in a video, a judge will be able to as well. “That isn't me” has got many a person off before.
DO get rid of your clothes. There is no chance of suggesting the person in the video is not you if the clothes they are wearing have been found in your wardrobe. Get rid of ALL clothes you were waring when you were out, incluing YOUR SHOES, your bag and any distinctive jewellery you were wearing at the ttime.
DO keep a low profile for a while. The police will be on the look-out at other demos for people they have put on their “wanted” list.
DO think about changing your appearance. Perhaps now is a good time foa make-over. Get a haircut and colour, grow a beard, wear glasses.
DO keep your house clean. Get rid of spray cans, demo related stuff and dodgy tests/photos on your phone. Don't make life easy for them by having drugs, weapons or anything else illegal in the house.
DO be careful who you speak about this to. Admit your involvement ONLY to people you really trust. Be very careful what you say on the internet.
DO try and contrl the nerves and panic. Waiting for a knock on the door is stressful in the extreme, but you need to find a way to get on with life as normal. Otherwise you'll be serving the sentence before you know it.

This leaflet was being handed out to the rioters in England  by the obnoxious UAF who seem to be under the mistaken impression that the events of the last few days were the harbingers of some sort of socialist revolution and/or protest against government cuts of which they were clearly nothing of the kind. The riots were simply about looting and violence, yes I know the excuse that was used initially, but that hardly excuses what happened in any other area or anything that happened after the initial protest at the police station.
Yes, I know what they are doing isn't precisely illegal, but it does show the mentality of some of those on the left who cannot understand the misery and wrecked lives and businesses these scum have left behind them.
I doubt you'll see this on the BBC any time soon.

This is what multiculturalism ends up as.
This is what diversity will get you.
This is what happens when you go soft on minorities because of the above.
This is what lowering standards to get minorities into positions of authority (aka tokenism) brings you.
This is what failure to assure excellence in our education system has brought us too.
This is the price we now have to pay for the failure of the political classes, socialists and the MSM to listen to the concerns of the ordinary people of England.
Our cities burn, minorities riot, the followers of a foreign and malignant fascistic political system dressed in the trappings of a religion have been allowed to settle in numbers in some of our cities and demand their own laws. The indigenous population have been derided by politicians as being bigoted to even question it. When they marched in protest they were called Nazi's, scum, vermin, knuckle draggers, right wing and racist, yet it was not they who rioted.
And when the dust settles, the cover up will begin, those who burned our cities and attacked our police and ordinary folk will claim victim status yet again, it's already happening on the BBC as excuse after excuse is trotted out about cuts and police brutality by so called community leaders. The usual soundbite fools like Ken Livingstone are being dragged out too to try and put a political slant on the mindless looting by trying to blame the current government for a mess of the previous governments making.
There have even been attempts by some on the left to draw parallels with violence exhibited at EDL protests in an effort to divert blame or ameliorate the situation, save only the EDL have never burnt buses, set fire to buildings, looted shops, attacked homeowners and robbed them. These were the same people who hunted desperately for any kind of link between Anders Brievik and the EDL even to the extent of inventing a few.
This is what happens when those in power and their accomplices simply don't listen to ordinary people.

How bureaucrats think

Diposkan oleh Zainal Arifain

Well not all of them I'd guess, though it is only a guess, however bureaucrats running the health service have come up with a novel idea for saving money and it's probably not one anyone with an ounce of decency in their body would have come up with, indeed most of us would not even consider it.
Telegraph.
Health service trusts are “imposing pain and inconvenience” by making patients wait longer than necessary, in some cases as long as four months, the study found.
Executives believe the delays mean some people will remove themselves from lists “either by dying or by paying for their own treatment” claims the report, by an independent watchdog that advises the NHS.
The Co-operation and Competition Panel says the tactic is one of a number used by managers that “excessively constrain” patients’ rights to choose where to be operated upon, and damage hospitals’ ability to compete for planned surgery.
It claims unfair practices are “endemic” in some areas of England and pose a “serious risk” to the Government’s drive to open up the health service to competition.
But managers, who are already rationing surgery for cataracts, hips, knees and tonsils, say they must restrict treatment as the NHS is under orders to make £20 billion of efficiency savings by 2015.
One of the problems that often occurs when various departments are told to go looking for ways to make savings or cuts in expenditure is that those tasked with making the savings rarely if ever see themselves as expendable. In public services, the cuts almost always come in at the frontline services, because those services are rarely if ever asked their opinions as to how to make the service more efficient, mostly because the management know the answers will be to get rid of them rather than the frontline staff. A classic case of never asking a question which you know you wont like the answer too.
This is why most private companies use outside auditors, there's no level of covering their own arses involved in a fixed term contract to see where savings could be made.
Yet you have to admire the bureaucratic mindset (for a given level of admire) in their quest for savings in coming up with the idea of saving money by not spending any on their customers who have probably paid into the system their entire lives.
I'm fairly sure there's a special level of hell reserved for those who did this abominable act of cruelty yet justified it by the savings they made. They really are scum and they really need hanging from a lamppost with piano wire pour encourager les autres.

Disciplinary action?

Diposkan oleh Zainal Arifain

When you're in hospital, you expect to be treated with a bit of respect even if your situation is somewhat undignified. If friends or relatives are in hospital, you'd expect the same things for them. What you don't expect is this...

Mail.
The ultimate NHS indignity: Body of hospital patient left to die in corridor is ignored for hours... before staff simply drag him away

'He went to them for help and they left him out in the corridor to die', says Peter Thompson's daughter
Senior nurse claims it was 'the appropriate method of handling the situation'

Two heartbroken parents have slammed 'inhumane' nurses who left their dead son lying in the middle of a hospital corridor and stepped over his corpse for more than ten hours thinking he was asleep.
CCTV captured staff pulling the lifeless body of Peter Thompson along the floor like they were 'dragging the body of a dead animal'.
Today a coroner said his death was 'wholly preventable' and believes he could have survived but for the neglect of nursing staff, three of whom now face disciplinary proceedings.
41-year-old Mr Thompson had taken a cocktail of drink and drugs but instead of taking him to accident and emergency, staff at the Edale House unit at the Manchester Royal Infirmary left him sprawled on the floor, where he eventually died.
Disciplinary action is ongoing at the moment, though hopefully it will lead to sackings, culpability has been admitted by means of a written apology from the Trust, yet cases like this keep happening as human dignity seems to be a forgotten term to some members of the NHS.
Yes the family are in line for compensation, but that just means the costs will be passed back to us as taxpayers, the nurses will lose their jobs (probably) but unless their license is actually revoked, will probably find employment again at some stage.
The whole ghastly business really stems from the social engineering carried out by successive governments since the 70's, and possibly before. People just no longer seem to care about other people any more, oh sure they'll care about family or friends, but the kindness of strangers seems to be sadly lacking from today's society, oh not totally missing of course, we still give generously to charities, though even then the governments foreign aid and fake charity set up's are straining peoples credulity when it comes to their own giving.
Yet it's becoming ever more apparent that some people no longer see the human dignity of another as a matter of any great concern. Perhaps it's down to education, or culture, but it should be a matter of grave concern to us all that this sort of thing can go on with people scarcely able to defend themselves or do anything about it.
Perhaps the disciplinary action should go further or higher into a criminal charge of neglect?
I don't know, but people used to dread going into hospitals because that's where you went to die, seems as if history is starting to repeat itself.

Misleading headlines

Diposkan oleh Zainal Arifain

A lot of people when they read the newspapers in the dead tree press and online will simply skim the headlines and only read what they want too. Headline writers know this and will attempt to grab peoples attention by making the headline punchy or relevant to their viewers.
Occasionally though they'll get it wrong or deliberately misleading.

Blackpool Gazette.
Charlene focus of quiet peace vigil
Now this has to do with Charlene Downes who went missing in Blackpool after allegedly being groomed by a paedophile gang and then murdered and her body fed into a mincing machine to be sold as kebabs.
save only that this "peace vigil" had nothing to do with Charlene save in the abstract that the vigil was about opposing those who were calling for justice for Charlene.
ANTI-FASCISM protesters today mounted a “peace vigil” as the English Defence League (EDL) demonstrated close by on Blackpool Promenade.
The different protests were keptmore than a mile apart by police who mounted a huge security operation to ensure public safety.
While the larger EDL rally was held near south pier, the smaller anti-fascism rally gathered on the headland by central pier.
Weyman Bennett, national secretary for Unite Against Fascism (UAF), said: “We’re here because we believe these organisations are exploiting a tragedy to politically profit and we want to make it clear we reject racism and fascism and anyone who tries to divide our society.
“At a time of economic crisis we do not want to see right wing groups attacking people.
There were 8 arrests that day, mostly to do with drunk and disorderly, no-one was attacked, no violence and the march was about justice, not racism (Islam is not a race) nor fascism the EDL aren't fascist nor are they right wing for that matter, the EDL is not a political party, nor is it a political organisation, it classifies itself as a Human Rights Organisation. It has no political ideology at all and campaigns only against Islamification and unfettered immigration. Whilst the cause of, and answer to, Islamification and unfettered immigration is political, so is the cause and answer to high fuel prices and food prices yet the motoring organisations and charities campaigning against those aren’t given left/right wing political labels.
So the UAF were simply there to oppose the EDL, not support Charlene in any way shape or form. In fact I'd take this further and state that the UAF by opposing a protest over Charlene Downes and Islamic paedophile grooming gangs run out of Blackpool's take away shops have  sided with the paedophile networks in the area.

Daily Mail.
At least 60 schoolgirls were groomed for sex by workers at seedy takeaways linked to the murder of a 14-year-old girl.
Children as young as 11 were targeted by mainly Asian staff at fast food outlets in Blackpool. They were offered food, alcohol and cigarettes in return for sexual favours.
An unpublicised police report produced after 14-year-old Charlene Downes vanished in 2003 found the girls, most if not all white, had been victims of the ‘honey pot’ premises. There were claims last night that the report was suppressed for reasons of political correctness.
By opposing the protest this is what the morally bankrupt left wing UAF were standing in support of.
Just when you think socialists and communists can't sink any lower...

Human wrongs

Diposkan oleh Zainal Arifain

There's a guy out there, a Tunisian who has been recruiting Islamists to fight in Iraq and Afghanistan. The Home Secretary has already ordered that he be kept out of the UK, however our borders are so porous that he came here anyway and is now going to use the Human Rights Act to stay, no doubt living off our generous benefits system too.

Telegraph.
A convicted terrorist banned from Britain for being a risk to national security has been stopped by the courts from being deported.
The Muslim man, who cannot be named, was found guilty of terrorism in Tunisia and has already been extradited once to Italy, where he was accused of being involved in helping to send Islamists to fight in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Theresa May, the Home Secretary, ordered that he be kept out of Britain because his presence would not be "conducive to the public good for reasons of national security", adding that there was evidence he had been involved in "extremist radicalisation".
However, after he was acquitted in Italy, he returned to Britain and has been allowed to stay by the Court of Appeal while he fights Mrs May's ruling. The court's decision has exposed what experts said was a "loophole" in immigration law which would allow "dangerous" people to stay here.
Experts said the case would have serious implications for the Home Office's ability to exclude terrorists and those suspected of terrorist offences, effectively creating an open border for terrorists while they pursue legal challenges.
Although only a small number of people would be affected, they could pose serious risks to national security.
Lord Justice Pill, Lord Justice Rix and Lord Justice Lloyd backed the terrorist's right to be in Britain while he mounts an appeal. Lord Justice Pill commented that denying him access to Britain could lead to "potential injustice".
Letting him stay here could also lead to a potential injustice too in that he might just recruit someone who will blow up a tube train or bus, but the fact that he might be in danger obviously trumps the fact that we might be in danger from him according to the judges.
I am truly sick to the back teeth of this human rights act, as far as I'm concerned it was brought in to keep Tony Blair's Mrs. happy and has been a disaster for this country in that we can no longer keep those who might be a danger to us away from us. If this guy is in danger when he returns to Tunisia, then that's his lookout, not ours, I'm sure there are plenty of Islamic hellholes where he'd be welcome anyway, he's certainly not welcome here, not by the majority of law abiding people who cannot see why the judges would let him stay to endanger us.
Truly the law is an ass and the Human Rights Act has never served anyone but criminals and terrorists!

Only in the Guardian

Diposkan oleh Zainal Arifain

In an incredible piece of blame shifting, the Guardian has a poll up today asking whether Pastor Terry Jones who burned a Koran is responsible for the deaths of the U.N. civilians in Afghanistan.

Here.

Note: If you answer yes to the question then I really think you need some sort of brain surgery.

Now apart from the emerging evidence that the Afghans rioted then committed atrocities as explained in an interview on BBC Radio 5 Live with an Afghanistan correspondent who stated quite categorically that this attack had little or nothing to do with the burning of the koran 2 weeks ago and everything to do with the recent publication of photographs of US soldiers posing with dead Afghan civilians that they had indiscriminately killed.
Apparently the crowd were angered by this and other instances where innocent civilians were killed and there was little or no condemnation or action taken by the west to bring the perpetrators to justice or to compensate the victims families.
Whilst this does not excuse the actions of the U.S. soldiers, the U.N. people were made up of a Swedish national, while another came from Norway. The other foreign victims are believed to be a Romanian and four Nepalese guards.
The Taliban has denied it carried out the attack.
"The Taliban had nothing to do with this, it was a pure act of responsible Muslims," spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid told the Reuters news agency by phone from an undisclosed location.

On the face of it, it would seem that the koran burning is merely a smokescreen started by 'elements' within the media to try and apportion some of the blame to anywhere other than where it belongs.
Regardless, the cowardly slaughter of innocent people on ANY side is not acceptable and cannot be condoned and as Pastor Terry Jones said, this just highlights the very violent nature of Islam.
And no I'm not excusing Jones either, the man is a fundamentalist Christian and very controversial, however it has to be said that the Guardian trying to make it appear as if the obvious response to burning a book is to behead an innocent victim is outrageous, callous and bereft of compassion for the victims. No-one deserves to die over the burning of a book and it's time the Islamic community realised this.

Self inflicted?

Diposkan oleh Zainal Arifain

You'd think that if you injured yourself or incapacitated yourself deliberately that the powers that be would not allow you to claim more than the bare minimum of benefits, rather than the additional invalidity/incapacity benefits available.
Yes I know, that was incredibly naive of me...

Express.
A JOBLESS layabout who rakes in taxpayers’ cash for alcoholism has been branded a “sponger” by a furious judge.
Judge John Walford told feckless Stanley Clifton, 31, that he was “the embodiment of the welfare dependency culture”.
Father-of-four Clifton receives hundreds of pounds a month in handouts, including incapacity benefit after claiming he was unfit for work because he drank seven litres of strong cider a day.
Clifton was given a community order with an unpaid work requirement at Teesside Crown Court in March 2009 for common assault.
But Judge Walford was told on Tuesday that he had failed to turn up for appointments to do the work.
And he had completed only 49 hours of the 100-hour order before probation officials realised he was ineligible for the work because he claims incapacity benefit and cannot be insured.
As far as I'm aware alcoholism is a self inflicted condition, having known an alcoholic in my family for several decades, I'm pretty much sure that they can work and carry out tasks if they stay off the drink. In fact alcoholism merely describes the condition of not wanting to come off the drink, rather than an addiction as such. Nor is it a disease, Malaria is a disease, Cancer is a disease, cholera is a disease. You have a choice whether to abuse alcohol or not - no one holds a gun to your head and forces drink down your neck.
The worst part of this article is when the "defendant" claims he now only drinks when he's stressed out. I'm just dying to hear what someone who doesn't need to work for a living gets stressed out about. Because it can't be the worry of where the next penny is coming from. He strikes me as the perfect Labour voter. Left school at 18 and spent 13 years loving that Labour kept him in whatever he needed.
So this "alcoholic" has managed to make HIS problem a taxpayer's problem. It's not that I'm unsympathetic. It's just that I've hit the limit. Now I really don't care. If this guy was cut off from all welfare and was later found dead in the gutter I wouldn't even yawn. I'll save what's left of my compassion for someone who deserves it.

A despicable attack on a teacher by a bunch of thugs for religious motives (guess which religion) left the teacher with a slashed his face and left him with a fractured skull because they did not approve of him teaching religion to Muslim girls.(oops bit of a giveaway on the religion there).

Daily Mail.
Four men launched a horrific attack on a teacher in which they slashed his face and left him with a fractured skull because they did not approve of him teaching religion to Muslim girls.
Akmol Hussein, 26, Sheikh Rashid, 27, Azad Hussain, 25, and Simon Alam, 19, attacked Gary Smith with a Stanley knife, an iron rod and a block of cement.
Mr Smith, who is head of religious education at Central Foundation Girls' School in Bow, east London, also suffered a fractured skull.
The four now face a jail sentence.
Detectives made secret recordings of the gang's plot to attack Mr Smith prior to the brutal assault.
The covert audio probe captured the gang condemning Mr Smith for 'teaching other religions to our sisters', the court heard.
The RE teacher was targeted as he made his way on foot along Burdett Road in nearby Mile End on July 12 last year, Snaresbrook Crown Court was told.
Prosecutor Sarah Whitehouse told the court: 'The evidence from what was said on the probe points overwhelmingly to a religious motive for this attack.'
It is believed the gang had made two earlier attempts to get at the teacher.
The interesting thing to be read from this was that the police were aware of the plot to attack the teacher, yet there is no mention of him being alerted to his peril. Though he may have been aware of the two previous attempts, then again perhaps not, depends on whether or not they were able to get at him.
The questions uppermost in my mind though are how long are we going to tolerate the intolerant, when are we going to do something about the barbaric, fascistic, ideology dressed up in the trappings of a religion that is Islam? Are all Muslims fanatics? Probably not, but they certainly do seem to have them in job lots. Burning poppies, insulting troops and attacking people whose job it is to teach other religions, not to mention running paedophile prostitution gangs all in a days work for their more active members.
Where will be the likes of the leftists who constantly hound us out with their cries of "racist, it's only a minority, fascist" etc? The silence will be deafening, along with the silence from the mosque that these guys attended.
No wonder despite all the lies and attacks on it, the EDL continue to grow.
Oh yes and apparently it's their duty to hire other Islamic illegals...
Mohammed Rahman said he was bound to provide shelter at his curry houses for fellow Muslims, regardless of the law.
But last night he was behind bars after Judge Peter Hughes QC said he had “exploited” the men for cash.
Religion of peace my arse!

A very lovely lady from the EDL forum pointed me to this article...

Standpoint.
" I shan't miss some locals' assumptions that, being a white woman, if I was outside after dark, as I occasionally was, usually to walk the few metres between my house and the church, I must be a prostitute eager to give them a blow job"
A brilliant summary from the vicars wife of an inner city parish struggling and losing against a tide of immigration from the middle east. The full article is well worth a read and places in context the real destruction that multiculturalism is putting on the embattled native population of England. It also shows the mind set of those who took it upon themselves to groom young girls from any faith other than their own for sexual purposes because at root they don't see women as equal to men and particularly don't see women of other faiths or beliefs as even being particularly human, simply something to use and abuse.
Yet even now after all the publicity over the cases you still have some out there desperately trying to excuse these vile acts or shift the blame to all. Despite mounting evidence that it is endemic in certain communities.
This is a statement issued by the organisation that ran the 'islamophobia and racism' UAF conference - the conference where the prestigious speakers ripped up the photos of black people in EDL, and attacked the Jew, Pakistani, homo and cameraman who had "stormed" the conference by paying at the door.

Link.
Jack Straw chose to make a damaging and unsubstantiated intervention, whipping up the Islamophobic responses to these cases. In a television interview he claimed both that these crimes are rife in the Muslim community as their cultural background means they do not have a sexual outlet, and – most shockingly – that they target white girls in particular as they are seen as ‘easy meat’.
Unsubstantiated? The guys doing this and others arrested were all from the Pakistani Muslim community, if you want to check out the MPAC forums, you'll find lots of evidence of them trying to shift the blame as well in some instances that they think those poor girls were asking for it.

There's something rotten going on at the heart of England, it's something vile introduced by politicians who allowed unrestricted immigration into our country. It's something evil protected by those who believe that multiculturalism works. It's been ignored by the mainstream media for years, it's caused communities to disintegrate, ghettoism, intolerance, misogyny, homophobia, prostitution and a belief that it is above criticism and presents a silent front to all who investigate its misdemeanour's, seeking only to excuse or shift blame. It's called Islam and I believe it has no place in a civilised country, not until it reforms root and branch and outs those within it who do these despicable acts!

Jail? I'd have given him a medal

Most people just want a quiet life, to be left alone to live as they please not harming anyone else. Then there are the thugs, yobs and other assorted ne'er-do-wells (I wont call them mindless, they are often ingenious in their petty maliciousness)

Express.
A TORMENTED householder on a yob-blighted estate was jailed yesterday for killing a man he caught urinating through his letterbox.
Michael Williams, 53, “just flipped” and stabbed father-of-one Anthony Kershaw, 25, after he caught him defiling his property.
Williams, who lived alone on the Smallbridge estate in Rochdale, had previously suffered a similar attack, and had paint thrown on his door.
Yesterday he wept as he was jailed for five years after admitting manslaughter at an earlier hearing. One night in April, Williams heard a bang on his front door as if someone was kicking at it to break in, Manchester Crown Court heard. He went to investigate and saw urine pouring through his letterbox,
In anger he went to his kitchen, grabbed a knife with a seven-inch blade and, as Kershaw urinated, swung the door open. In his own words he “just flipped” and stabbed his victim in the stomach.
Williams then rang his daughter and the police and confessed to what he had done while a baying mob tried to smash their way into his house screaming they would “burn him alive”.
Kershaw, who had been drinking and smoking cannabis in a flat in the same block before the incident, died later in hospital.
Prosecutor Peter Wright said Williams lived in an area where “extremely abusive” youths made trouble in the communal areas, leaving some residents despondent, intimidated, and at times frightened to go out.
Mr Justice Brian Keith told Williams: “Your reaction was not premeditated. Something snapped and you acted on the spur of the moment. Of course, I take into account that this was a frightening and intimidating estate to live on.”
Did Kershaw deserve to die? Probably not, however should Williams have even been prosecuted? No, the guy should have been praised as a lesson to all whose pleasure it is to make others lives a misery simply because they can. As for Kershaws mob, well they are the ones who should have been looking at 5 years today, not Williams, the very fact that Williams has been attacked in prison by Kershaw's "friends" tells me all I need to know about that waste of space.
Still the good news is of course that Kershaw can no longer pollute the gene pool, good riddance, the world is a better place without scum like that, just a shame Williams has to suffer the consequences of Kershaw's barbarity after all, what else can you call urinating through a letterbox? Whilst what happened to him was harsh, he brought it upon himself, Williams deserved better from out legal system, he was only defending his home from scum.

Traitor

Diposkan oleh Zainal Arifain

Graham Watson MEP is a traitor to the British people, though quite obviously he wont see it that way, yet this man is behind the misery of the European Arrest Warrant (EAW) in which British men and women can be dragged off abroad and held in foreign prisons on the most frivolous of charges.

Telegraph.
"The European Arrest Warrant should not be feared," says Graham Watson, the Liberal Democrat MEP who piloted the legislation through the European Parliament (as so often with things that really annoy Euro-sceptics, their authors turn out to be British.) "It is a crucial tool in ensuring criminals cannot hide behind national borders. It has brought justice to the perpetrators of murder, rape and terrorism."
I wonder what Edmond Arapi thinks of this claim?
Edmond Arapi, a Staffordshire waiter, was seized under an EAW issued by Italy after being sentenced to 16 years in absentia for a murder in Genoa in 2004. Yet he never left Britain in 2004. He spent time in Wandsworth prison before the Italians finally admitted it was a case of mistaken identity.
Or Deborah Dark.
Deborah Dark, who was cleared of drugs charges in France in 1989, found herself detained whenever she tried to travel. Unknown to her, French authorities had won an appeal against her acquittal in 1990. Fifteen years later, they issued an EAW, which was only dropped in May.
Colin Gabriel.
Colin Gabriel was demanded by Spain after a passport with his name on it was found in a boat that had been carrying drugs. He denied it was his and British judges said the evidence against him was "thin", but could not halt his extradition.
There are others.

Michael Turner, from Dorset, and Jason McGoldrick, from Plymouth, were extradited on an EAW and held without charge in Hungary, accused of owing business creditors £18,000. They spent nearly three months in tough jail conditions before police even interviewed them. They were freed after five months and have never been charged.
Even foreigners staying here have problems.
Dimitrinka Atanasova, a Bulgarian legal secretary, fled to Britain after threatening to expose her boss – the country's chief prosecutor – for misconduct. That same chief prosecutor then personally requested her extradition from Britain on what a British judge agreed were "bad-faith", or trumped-up, charges of murder. Crucially, her case predated Bulgaria's EU membership and adoption of the EAW. She was freed, after several months in Holloway Prison, but could be rearrested under a warrant at any time.
And there is a regular flight back to Poland from Biggin Hill in Kent of handcuffed Poles arrested and deported at the request of the Polish legal system often for such things as smoking cannabis, stealing a bicycle, or receiving a stolen mobile phone. The defendants will have been seized from their homes by a special police unit. They will often have been held in British custody, and will continue to be held, sometimes for months, until their appeals against extradition are dismissed, as they almost always are.
Yet the worst case is that of Andrew Symeou
hauled off to Greece on flimsy evidence obtained by assaulting witnesses none of whom appear to have correctly identified him as actually being where an assault took place, nor describing what he was actually wearing. So far he's was extradited last July.
Andrew, who, cannot speak Greek, spent almost a year in some of Europe's least civilised prisons. At Patras, he was unable to wash, and was taunted by the guards as an "English ------." They made him pack his kit with handcuffs on, laughing at his inability to manage it, then squeezed toothpaste into his bag, so he got to his next prison with toothpaste all over his clothes.
At Korydallos, he witnessed three riots. He would lie in bed, said his father, "and cockroaches would be dropping from above. He'd wake up in the morning with them crawling on him''.
So yes, Graham Watson MEP who guided this odious and dangerous bit of legislation through the EU, you are a traitor, you're ultimately responsible for the arrest and detention of scores of your fellow countrymen (then again he's a Scot so might not care all that much about the English) who are often held without trial for years in foreign prisons and you tell us that the European Arrest Warrant should not be feared. You've forced our legal system to hand over our people on the most flimsiest of evidence and prevented them from fact checking the evidence, nor of preventing flagrant abuses of the warrants themselves. It costs us money to hold the people that have been arrested under the EAW and if or when we hand them over, there are few safeguards as to how quickly they will be dealt with.
EUrophiles like you make me sick Graham Watson, even now I doubt you can see the harm you've done and the people now living in fear over your folly.
Sooner we leave the monstrosity of the EU the better, though it looks as if we'll have to bring down the government to do it, perhaps hanging a few like Graham Watson pour encourager les autres will remind the next generation of politicians to be more protective of the British people.

quis custodiet ipsos custodes?

Quis custodiet ipsos custodes essentially means "who will guard the guards themselves" and is mostly used in debates about law enforcement. However in this case I'm pointing it right back at our troughing MP's and the attitude they are taking towards the Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority. Now IPSA is supposed to be monitored by a committee and that committee is supposed to have 3 lay members of the public on it. However the committee which is supposed to be run by speaker Bercow (trougher par excellence) hasn't even advertised for any members of the public to sit on it, merely stuffed it with MP's instead.

Telegraph.

MPs have broken a promise to allow members of the public on to the body which has ultimate authority over their expenses.
The committee overseeing the new Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority, which took over responsibility for expenses from the discredited Commons’ fees office, is supposed to contain three “lay members” as well as serving MPs.
But three months after the supposedly tough new system became operational following the general election, there are eight MPs on the Speaker’s Committee for IPSA, and no lay members.
And even though its own website says that three lay members should be appointed, the Committee, chaired by John Bercow, Speaker of the House of Commons, appears to have taken no steps to advertise for or recruit for public appointees.
Despite not containing lay members, the Committee has already begun sitting, and last month threatened to refuse to sign off IPSA’s budget – leading to warnings that it was seeking to undermine the new system.
The threat came as relations between IPSA and MPs reached a low point, with many Members in open revolt about the tough new rules they are being forced to abide by.
A number of MPs who were not members of the Committee packed into the public hearing to approve the budget, where they heckled and swore at IPSA staff.
Right bunch of charmers our elected thieves are turning out to be, don't like the rules, swear at the staff and try to stuff a committee with their own kind ignoring a promise to have members of the public on it, not like they haven't had the time to do so either.
They really do think the public will stand for the fact that they want things back to the old ways where they were ripping us off with duck houses and flipping mortgages. These people might be elected, but they are not to be trusted especially trusted to monitor themselves. The performance by some MP's at the open meeting last month should have lead them to be censured by the speaker and the committee, however as Bercow was/is one of the biggest thieves at Westminster it seems he is deliberately trying to bring the new system down by neglect and breach of promise if nothing else.
It really is time to tear down the system, get rid of the current crop of professional politicians, ban the existing political parties in Westminster and start from scratch. Then and only then might I start to trust a politician anywhere near money.

Welcome to the real world

Pretty much anywhere you go now involving public services or receptions dealing with the public such as doctors and dentists, you'll see a small (sometimes not so small) sign stating that the staff their are not there to be abused and action will be taken against those who do so.
Seems our troughing MP's have now run into a similar system at Westminster over the new expenses scheme and the Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority.

Telegraph.

Staff at the new MPs’ expenses quango created a football-style system of red and yellow cards for politicians who were rude to them.
Officials working for the Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority have had to endure shouted insults and threats of legal action from MPs angry at the strict rules now imposed on their parliamentary allowances.
IPSA employees put up a sign stating that “abuse of staff will not be tolerated” after they were repeatedly harangued by members complaining that they had not been paid money they were owed, or that old entitlements had been withdrawn following last year’s scandal.
It has now emerged that under Nigel Gooding, IPSA’s original operations director – who left “for the sake of my health and sanity” earlier this summer – staff also devised a system similar to that used in football to deal with misconduct.
Under the unofficial scheme, any MPs who were rude to staff in telephone conversations or face-to-face meetings would be given a warning – equivalent to a “yellow card” caution.
Those who were deemed guilty of repeated or particularly serious verbal abuse would be restricted to communicating in writing with IPSA staff – a “red card” – rather than being allowed to argue with them in person or on the phone.
“Having an email trail makes it hard for people to deny what’s been said,” a Whitehall source told The Daily Telegraph.
It is believed that under the old expenses system, exposed by this newspaper, some MPs would ring different members of the Fees Office staff until they found one willing to agree to their demands.
A spokesman for IPSA denied a card system of warnings and punishments had been in operation but admitted: “It’s fair to say some MPs have been more forthright in expressing frustrations than others.”
Well if MP's are looking for sympathy, I doubt they'll get any from the public most of us who do have to claim any sort of expenses and the staff at IPSA have my sympathy as they are only trying to do their jobs and keep MP's honest (never an easy task). MP's if anything have it easy when it comes to claims, they are on a good salary and can claim for stuff that the rest of us could only dream about, second mortgages, furniture for second residences etc. They are also subsidised by the taxpayer in their restaurants and bars too, many also hold down second sources of income via non executive directorships which gives the companies involved access to parliament via the back door too.
In short MP's should put up and shut up, the system is designed to keep them honest and if they can't live within their means then perhaps they should be in another job, not that they'd ever find anywhere else as cushy, save perhaps the EU parliament. They brought this upon themselves and they only have themselves to blame. The majority seem to have abused the old system, sometimes to excess, the public view them as a bunch of lying thieves and their status in society has never been lower, perhaps a degree of silence and remorse might have done some good, as it is, they are showing themselves to be the same as ever.
If I'd had my way not one MP who'd abused the system would have been allowed to stand for parliament or public service ever again, many would have been charged and if found guilty ended up in prison. That's how seriously the business was, they robbed the public, the taxpayer. If they carry on like this, they'll think the last outburst over their expenses was a storm in a teacup.

Adding insult to injury

I was amazed when I read that the arch-troughers of Labour had applied for (and got) legal aid to fight their case.

BBC.
Three former Labour MPs facing criminal charges over their expenses have won the right to have their legal fees paid for by the taxpayer.
An HM Courts Service spokesman confirmed David Chaytor, Elliot Morley and Jim Devine will receive legal aid.
Conservative peer Lord Hanningfield, who is also facing charges, has not made an application for legal aid, the court official added.
All four deny the allegations and say they will defend themselves "robustly".
Conservative leader David Cameron said granting legal aid to the MPs was a "complete outrage" and promised to review the system.
BBC home affairs correspondent Danny Shaw said that officials applied the "interests of justice" test to determine whether the MPs should receive legal aid.
The test says that if a defendant is at risk of losing his or her liberty - that is, they could go to prison if convicted - then they are entitled to legal representation paid for by the state.
The "interests of justice" test began to be phased out in January and replaced by a means test for all Crown Court cases in England and Wales - but Southwark Crown Court is not yet part of the new scheme, so it did not apply to the MPs.
So, not only are they accused of stealing from us, they are also continuing the troughing  by grabbing the publics money to defend themselves. I also see that they are not using "cheap" barristers either, they've engaged Edward Fitzgerald QC of Doughty Street Chambers will represent them in court and trust me, this guy does not come cheap, so we're getting stiffed that way too.
Yes there is a possibility of the judge making them pay back some of the costs, however I've a sneaking feeling that the political establishment will look after its own, just in case it ever happens to them. This plus a top barrister to get them off on a possible parliamentary privilege technicality, means we'll have been robbed blind twice, after all if they are found not guilty (though certainly not untainted) they don't get to pay back a penny, unlike motorists with their costs.

Perhaps amazed wasn't the right word, now that I've given it some thought it's changed to outraged fury.
