At first blush, what it means for a bank "to go green" may not be immediately clear. Banks do not operate factories or power plants that release pollutants into the air, nor do their supply chains require large amounts of materials that have large environmental footprints. In fact, the sum of a bank's impact might seem to be simply their offices, retail branch locations, and some IT facilities.

Whenever you write a business plan, you must understand the planning is just one of the first steps in the strategic management process. Once your plan is written and approved by senior management, then you must communicate the plan to the people actually do the work. You must also manage the process of executing the plan, monitor how well it is working, and perhaps make periodic adjustments to stay on target. In large organizations where planning is more routinely done, then these steps are likely in place; however, if you are in an organization that has only just begun to do strategic planning, then how can you write your first plan so that it is actually implemented successfully? Here are three tips:
