Every single thing we do in life begins with learning a skill. Some people acquire skills quickly and easily. Others require skills to be broken down in smaller steps, taught a different way or practiced at a different pace.
Every behavior has a purpose or function.
If a behavior continues or strengthens, then its function is being met and learning is taking place. By identifying what the function of a behavior is, appropriate replacement skills can be taught to service the same function.
People learn from the modeling of others. From Academic skills to social skills, people learn from the examples and consequences in their lives. Our goal is to develop positive and pro-active interventions, which will result in positive and productive people.
