| Oh No! Did I Really Just Say That? Posted: 20 Jul 2011 01:15 PM PDT There you are...smack dab in the middle of an interview...and you are knocking it out of the park!! 'Tell us about yourself,' you pass it with flying colors. 'Why did you choose your major?' That's a cake walk and you even made the interviewer smile. Things are looking good and you can see the offer letter with your name on it already and before you know it, the interviewer drops one of those TOUGH interview questions on you: 'What is your biggest weakness?' All of a sudden your palms get sweaty, a knot forms in your throat, and your seemingly breeze of an interview suddenly hit a rough spot. |

These enthusiastic young teacher candidates bring them to their interviews only to be frequently disappointed when the interview team doesn't ask to see it. A better idea is to take an 8-10 page mini portfolio which can be left with the interview team members. This article gives explicit information on how to create such a portfolio. |
| Teacher Interview Tips - 10 Teacher Interview Questions to Ask the School Posted: 20 Jul 2011 06:15 AM PDT In my previous articles on how to get a job as a teacher, I offer tips on how to do well in an interview. At the end of most interviews, the interviewer or interview team will usually ask you, "Do you have any questions for us?" It's very important that you have a question which is intelligent and insightful. It is the interview team's final impression of you, so it is more important than most people make it out to be. |
