Getting it wrong, twice

Diposkan oleh Zainal Arifain

Sectarianism is a problem in parts of Scotland, Rangers and Celtic being the prime example of two competing factions vying through the tribal fan system of football to make their mark over a hated rival. It isn't racism as you'd be very hard put to tell the difference between the supporters without their colours, it isn't religious either, though a difference in religion goes deep within the two communities.
It's not something we're used too in England, the religious aspect anyway, though the tribal rivalries of football fans we're well used too. However what we wouldn't do, is call for a football clubs fans to not fly a flag that represents their country, after all, that would be a bit racist, wouldn't it?
Mail.
For almost 130 years the proud supporters of Berwick Rangers have revelled in the fact that they are a British team playing in the Scottish Football League.
Ok, lets get the sodding obvious bit out of the way first, whilst Berwick Rangers are a British club, so are the rest of the teams playing in the Scottish Football League! Berwick are different only in the fact that they are based in England!
They call themselves The Borderers, and proudly display both the St Andrew's cross and the St George's cross on their scarves and merchandise.
But now the club's supporters have been told that they can't show the St George's cross when attending away games - because it incites sectarian tension.
As sectarian implies religion, I cannot see how flying a flag of St George is being sectarian, what it does imply that this club is English and that it's not sectarianism we're talking about here, but racism. They aren't particularly protestant, they certainly aren't Scottish (much as many Scots would claim)
Personally I think it's rank hypocrisy of Stranraer FC to claim sectarianism, when the plain facts speak for themselves, they are indulging in racism. However by calling it sectarianism they hope to get away with it, save only that the idiots at the Daily Mail decided to do an article on it.

The Annual Boarding Up of properties Event

Diposkan oleh Zainal Arifain

A commenter on my previous post wondered when the police would have the guts to ban the Notting Hill carnival. I suspect we all know why it's the last thing they'd do, although to put it specifically would leave them wide open to accusations of racism, far, far, easier to ban a march by the EDL despite the fact that it costs less to police an EDL event than the potentially riotous Carnival.
In the past, despite having 11,000 officers on the streets during 2008, around 40 troublemakers threw bottles and bricks at officers once the carnival had finished, while there were 330 arrests.
In 2009 the number of arrests fell to 215, including a group of 38 youths who had planned violence during the event. A 15-year-old youth was also stabbed.
In 2010 there were also two stabbings, resulting in minor injuries to the victims and were 230 arrests across the weekend, with most being for drugs offences and public disorder.
Plus the huge number of police compares with the Royal Wedding, which was deemed a terrorist threat.
Mail
Battening down the hatches: Shopkeepers board up windows over riot fears as record police numbers prepare for Notting Hill Carnival
Shopkeepers were today boarding up their windows over fears that the Notting Hill Carnival could descend into the violent scenes that rocked London earlier this month.
Record numbers of police will take to the streets in a desperate bid to deter the rioting and looting that spread across the capital.
There were fears that the carnival could become a focal point for unrest which lead to suggestions that the annual event could be cancelled.
But instead the annual carnival will see the highest number of police officers on duty in the event's 47-year history in the wake of the London riots.
Double the number of officers that policed the Royal Wedding will be on duty at the carnival next weekend, with the Met planning 20,000 shifts split over the two-day event, it is understood.
It is Scotland Yard's biggest public order test since the riots during an unprecedented security operation at the two-day carnival.
Businesses were boarding up their shop fronts earlier today as a precaution in the wake of the widespread violence and looting.
Police received criticism about their handling of the riots and will be keen to ensure there are no repeat disturbances.
More than a million revellers are expected to descend on the capital over the coming days for what is Europe's biggest street festival.
To be honest, unless there was actual rioting going on in London on the days leading up to the event I didn't expect a ban. Though I do expect one of two things, either it will go without a hitch as everyone will be at pains to make sure the event isn't tarnished by the riots (unlikely but possible) Or it will start off quiet and explode as it gets later. (more likely)
Still, Scotland Yard has staged a series of dawn swoops in a pre-emptive strike to avoid trouble at this year's carnival. A total of 40 suspects have been arrested in raids across the capital which suggests some forethought by the police, but will have done little to ease tensions in the communities involved. Plus I'm quite uneasy about arresting people simply because you think they might be a problem.
I think personally that the Notting Hill Carnival has to be seen as a success by the powers that be who were quite badly shaken by the riots and if that means draconian policing it will be seen as worth it despite our civil liberties being dragged through the gutter again. Problem with overt policing though is that it does have negative consequences too.
It will be interesting to see how this goes, but I predict trouble will erupt at some stage.

Just who were rioting again?

Diposkan oleh Zainal Arifain

I am livid at the moment, that utter cretin and turncoat David Cameron got up in Parliament and condemned a group of patriots who were not rioting, were not causing trouble and who did not attack the police.
Telegraph
13.25 Cameron wheels on the English Defence League following claims their supporters were among gangs of vigilantes who attacked police in Eltham last night, saying: "I described parts of our society as sick and there is none sicker than the EDL"
So who was responsible for 5 days of rioting in the major cities of England? Not the EDL!
Who was responsible for the deaths of two Muslims in Birmingham mown down by a car? Not the EDL!
Who was holidaying in Tuscany when this all kicked off? Not the EDL!
Who was responsible for cuts in the police budget and the destruction of police morale? Not the EDL!
Who was out distributing leaflets telling rioters how to cover their tracks? Not the EDL!

People praised the Turks, Kurds, Muslims etc. when they came out to defend their homes and property, but when patriotic Englishmen did the same in Eltham they were condemned by police and politicians. No mention either has been made of the efforts of Patriotic EDL members holding the line between their districts in Birmingham, Leicester, Nottingham and Manchester despite the fact that they were often outnumbered in the region of 10 to 1 preventing the riots spreading  and letting the police get on with their jobs knowing they didn't have to worry about what was going on elsewhere.

The EDL even put out a call for volunteers to help clean up the mess, the mess they didn't make!
Already EDL supporters have taken to the streets to help defend their communities and prepare for the clean-up operations that must follow the last few days of rioting of looting.
We already have members organising themselves in London, Manchester, Liverpool, Norwich and Birmingham, and are also looking to organise efforts in Bristol, Leeds, Wolverhampton, Salford, Nottingham, Leicester and Hull.
If you live near to any of these areas, please contact your Division Leaders and Regional Organisers to find out what you can do to help, or speak to members on our forums or the official EDL Facebook page.
David Cameron's comments are a disgrace and an affront to all loyal patriotic Englishmen who only wish to defend their homes and families. He has totally sickened me and many others today and his party will never get our votes whilst he is a member or does not apologise.

This is what multiculturalism ends up as.
This is what diversity will get you.
This is what happens when you go soft on minorities because of the above.
This is what lowering standards to get minorities into positions of authority (aka tokenism) brings you.
This is what failure to assure excellence in our education system has brought us too.
This is the price we now have to pay for the failure of the political classes, socialists and the MSM to listen to the concerns of the ordinary people of England.
Our cities burn, minorities riot, the followers of a foreign and malignant fascistic political system dressed in the trappings of a religion have been allowed to settle in numbers in some of our cities and demand their own laws. The indigenous population have been derided by politicians as being bigoted to even question it. When they marched in protest they were called Nazi's, scum, vermin, knuckle draggers, right wing and racist, yet it was not they who rioted.
And when the dust settles, the cover up will begin, those who burned our cities and attacked our police and ordinary folk will claim victim status yet again, it's already happening on the BBC as excuse after excuse is trotted out about cuts and police brutality by so called community leaders. The usual soundbite fools like Ken Livingstone are being dragged out too to try and put a political slant on the mindless looting by trying to blame the current government for a mess of the previous governments making.
There have even been attempts by some on the left to draw parallels with violence exhibited at EDL protests in an effort to divert blame or ameliorate the situation, save only the EDL have never burnt buses, set fire to buildings, looted shops, attacked homeowners and robbed them. These were the same people who hunted desperately for any kind of link between Anders Brievik and the EDL even to the extent of inventing a few.
This is what happens when those in power and their accomplices simply don't listen to ordinary people.

The BBC report that 10 men have been arrested in raids for child grooming offences. This is on top of arrests elsewhere in Rochdale (11 so far) and even today one of the men involved in the disappearance of Charlene Downes.
Yet (not so very) strangely enough the BBC are very coy about the identity of the men involved. As the two other cases were of Pakistani Muslims and not generic Asians as the BBC and the MSM like to tar anyone from the East whilst conveniently ignoring/insulting the Chinese and other oriental types who are also technically Asians.

BBC.
Ten men have been arrested in police raids in Manchester and Derbyshire as part of a major investigation into the sexual exploitation of children.
Officers have spoken to more than 30 girls in one of the largest inquiries carried out by Greater Manchester Police's Major Incident Team.
Some are victims and others are witnesses, a police spokesman said.
Girls from Stockport are said to have been given drink and drugs and taken to sex parties in Manchester and Salford.
Men, aged in their late teens to late 20s, were arrested in Cheetham Hill, Fallowfield, Levenshulme, Moss Side, Chorlton-on-Medlock and Woodhouse Park.
One man was also arrested in Buxton, Derbyshire.
Mr Sweeney said the raids built on earlier arrests in Rochdale and Bury, following a three to four month police investigation.
He added that he anticipated further arrests.
Not one hint of who or what they are bearing in mind that the Rochdale and Bury arrests were of Pakistani Muslim males. This is the BBC at its multicultural best deliberately concealing the fact that there is a problem within a certain community and the closest they will ever come to describing it is in calling the people involved "Asian"
In fact most of the MSM are similarly coy, though the Telegraph does give a very broad hint.
Terry Sweeney, assistant chief constable of Greater Manchester Police, said the force was now “fully prepared” to acknowledge the issue of ethnicity.
However, he emphasized that on this occasion the alleged perpetrators were a mix of Asian and white men.
Ah, there's that "Asian" again and I wonder what kind of mix, though I suspect predominantly "Asian" will be the next startling revelation. You can bet your bottom dollar that if they were all white English males we'd know about it if only to deflect the criticism of the Muslim community and its vile religion of peace which permits the attitude that all non Muslim women are easy meat and there for the taking and exploitation of.
Yet the BBC and the rest of the MSM keep down this path of flogging a dead horse with the term "Asian" which most of us now read as "Pakistani Muslim" or more often than not just Muslim despite the fact they come in all colours as it isn't a racial thing.
It would be nice to see the media be a bit more forthcoming about this problem which has been known about for years yet brushed under the carpet in the name of community cohesion. Until then we'll have to put up with the "men of no appearance" mona's being foisted upon us to try and keep us in the dark about the extent of the UK's real racial/religious crimes.

Can't do the time?

Diposkan oleh Zainal Arifain

Yes, it's that saying, "can't do the time, don't do the crime" save only that some pathetic scumbag thinks he might just have come up with a get out of jail card in the Human Rights Act.

BBC.
A 33-year-old Nottingham burglar has appealed against his sentence, saying he needs to care for his five children.

Wayne Bishop, of Southchurch Drive, Clifton, was jailed for eight months in April at Nottingham Crown Court.

He said on five nights a week he was the sole carer for his five children, who are aged between five and 12.

His lawyer Ian Wise said the sentence violated Bishop's right to respect for family life under article eight of the Human Rights Convention.
"This case is of public importance and could have significant wider repercussions," Mr Wise told Mrs Justice Gloster.
Bishop, of Southchurch Drive, has joint custody of his five children, aged five to 12, with his ex-partner.
Mr Wise said article eight of the Human Rights Convention "enshrines the right to respect for family life and privacy".
Yes, because he has to look after his kids under joint custody he thinks he can use the HRA to prevent himself from being sent to prison for burglary. I wonder about his victims rights not to be robbed by this little shit? Will they be taken into account? Or do his rights trump theirs? I does seem that way more often than not doesn't it?
Yes I know I've ranted on at the HRA and its misuse and abuse in the past and probably will do in the future, however that's not to say I don't think people, even criminals have rights, just that some rights aren't actually a right at all. With rights there equally should come responsibilities, if you break the law, you lose certain rights including the right to roam free and commit further crimes and also the right to respect for family life and privacy. A complex system of equal rights for all simply will not work if the villain has exactly the same rights as the victim. The only rights a villain should have are the right to a fair trial, the right to appeal and the right to be housed and fed securely and safely at her majesties pleasure. That's all the basic rights they need, the law abiding rest of us get the full package, so I hope he loses this appeal, it's a damned disgrace his legal team even went for it!

So tell us something we don't know

Diposkan oleh Zainal Arifain

Apparently Labour lied to us about immigration according to Lord Glasman, one of Ed Miliband’s most senior advisers in an interview for the May edition of Progress magazine in which he tells us something we already knew and had raged about.

Telegraph.
One of Ed Miliband’s most senior advisers has accused the last Labour government of “lying” about immigration and blamed the party for the rise of the far Right.
Ah yes, the "Far Right" one of Labours fearsome shibboleths to browbeat anyone who questioned their policies of rubbing the right's noses in multiculturalism, along with racist and bigot. Not that the right were any of those things nor were the right likely to be affected by those things either, no, the burden of coping with mass immigration fell as usual on the urban working class, Labours core vote and hardly an example of the "Far Right" at all.
Lord Glasman claimed that working class men were unable to talk about the matters important to them at Labour Party meetings without being labelled sexist or racist.
He added: “There was no public discussion of immigration and its benefits. In fact there was a very hard rhetoric combined with a very loose policy going on.
“Labour lied to people about the extent of immigration and the extent of illegal immigration and there’s been a massive rupture of trust.”
No shit Sherlock.
Calling on “progressive” people to recognise their “responsibility for the generation of far-Right populism,” Lord Glasman suggested that Labour was partly responsible for the rise in organisations such as the English Defence League, which was founded in 2009 and organises street marches against Islamic extremism.
He said: “You consider yourself... so opposed that you don’t want to talk to them, you don’t want to engage with them, you don’t want anybody with views like that anywhere near the party.”
This, Lord Glasman said, meant that party members ignored “a hate and rage against us” from working class people “who have always been true to Labour”.
“Working class men can’t really speak at Labour Party meetings about what causes them grief, concerns about their family, concerns about immigration, love of country, without being falsely stereotyped as sexist, racist, nationalist,” he said.
Far Right populism? I presume he's not talking about a free market economy where goods and service prices are kept low by competition amongst companies and workers over wages and prices as well as low taxation.
No, "Far Right" is the Labour and MSM codeword for racists, or those who they have tarred with the racist brush, despite the fact that the only supposed "Far Right" political party (BNP) is somewhat to the left of Labour when it comes to economics. Nor are the other group the EDL "Far Right" they aren't even political, though they do seek a peaceful political solution to extreme Islam and mass immigration. Recently they've even started a campaign to force the MSM to drop the "Far Right" tag by a letter writing campaign along with complaints to the Press Complaints Commission.
Facts are as anyone who studies politics will tell you is that National Socialism and Fascism are both the bastard offspring of the far left and contain many of the lefts thoughts and philosophies in their make up, they are only termed "Far Right" to differentiate them from the "Far Left" in the same way that Monty Python took to town the various Jewish factions in "The Life of Brian" In a sense National Socialism and Fascism are the "splitters" in the family of the left in that they encompass nationalism rather than internationalism.
In essence that's where Labour really failed the working class, they became too wrapped up in multiculturalism and internationalism and ignored the ordinary patriotic folk who under normal circumstances would vote a donkey with a red rosette into parliament (and frequently did) to the extent that they took it upon themselves to vote for people and join organisations who said they'd do something about it.
Not right wing organisations as Lord Glasman and many on the left would like to have us believe, but simply groups and parties who said we'll do something about it. And it's taken how many years before anyone in Labour would even come out and admit that they deliberately dumped on their core support and had the gall to deny that there was a problem, indeed anyone who raised concerns was immediately labelled a racist, bigot, nationalist, right winger, etc.
So tell us something we didn't know Lord Glasman, because what you said in that interview we've known for years...

Why is this man in the government?

Diposkan oleh Zainal Arifain

No, not Ken Clarke (for once) but Vince (famous for calling G Brown Mr Bean) Cable a man who was féted as some sort of economic wizard but for the life of me seems to be some sort of socialist simpleton with no grasp of the effect of socialist policies on ordinary people, in this case uncontrolled immigration.

Telegraph.

The Prime Minister will today claim that uncontrolled immigration has undermined some British communities. Pledging to cut the numbers entering Britain to tens of thousands, rather than hundreds of thousands, Mr Cameron will say that "for too long, immigration has been too high".
Mr Cameron’s speech, his first major address on the issue since the general election, will please many Conservative MPs and voters.
But Mr Cable, a Liberal Democrat, described the speech as “very unwise” and suggested it could fuel extremism over immigration.
“The reference to the tens of thousands of immigrants rather than hundreds of thousands is not part of the coalition agreement, it is Tory party policy only,” Mr Cable told the BBC.
“I do understand there is an election coming but talk of mass immigration risks inflaming the extremism to which he and I are both strongly opposed.”
Thing that strikes me is that if Cameron's speech will inflame extremism, why did we invite extremists into the UK in the first place? Assuming of course we did invite them and they just didn't turn up on their own bat, which under labour was entirely possible. Doubt that Cable has got an answer for that one other than a Neville Chamberlainesque appeasement to totalitarianism, which seems to be what he's aiming for. You don't appease bullies and extremists, they see it as weakness and will just attempt to extort more concessions from you. I know that, I suspect you'll know that, but politicians? I just don't know any more, after all you'll see or hear Cameron's speech today and not that the only immigration he can do anything about is non EU immigration which means anyone getting an EU passport from any after escaping any violent shithole can come here and start their own branch of gangsters r us complete with a full set of benefits and a decent house paid for by us. What Cable doesn't get is the fact that it's our generosity that's fuelling extremism because we pay for extremists to do nothing except sit at home, or meet up to plot extremism. If they had to work hard to feed themselves trust me that will knock the extremism out of anyone.
Cameron can't stop mass immigration, it's no longer under the UK governments remit as it's under EU control, he can only sound off and make as if he can make a difference to get votes during the local elections. Cable claims that he and Cameron oppose extremism, though neither are able to do anything about the extremists in our midst, though I do know that talking about immigration won't inflame them, they're already inflamed and Cable would only have us appease them, it's an old socialist fantasy that being nice to someone will make them nice right back, that only works with civilised people and those who would be inflamed are not civilised otherwise they wouldn't be extremists.

Saying it how it is

Diposkan oleh Zainal Arifain

There are rules out there, things which I can think, but not say, well not any more so badly has the government stifled freedom of speech and expression with their political correctness and equality agenda. You know the typical responses to shut down debate and accuse the one who said the truth as they saw it as a racist, homophobe, Islamophobe, sexist, mysogynist, it mostly comes from the point and scream bumper handbook of socialist dialectic and it often enough works even to the extent that extremely unfunny feminist comediennes can declare that certain sub groups denoted by skin colour cannot be racist at all.
The unrighteous amongst us tend to use victimhood poker (U.S. version, some UK variations apply) rules to sort out who is and isn't allowed to be criticised or get away with saying something outrageous that say the person holding a lower card could not hope to get away with. As a white heterosexual male, every other genotype counts higher than me on the victimhood poker scorechart which is why I'm very glad I ran across this guy...

Caution contains swearing, not safe for work.

Because technically the only thing in victimhood poker that could trump him would be a black female.

Usual disclaimers apply not all (insert race/religionists/genders/sexual mores) want to murder us in our beds/rule the world/convert us by the sword/think it's all men's fault/turn us all gay

I of course can't say what he said without censure of some kind, I'm not in the eyes of many of the righteous even allowed to think such things (see disclaimer) there's rules you see...

Hell of a good rant though.

Single nation my....

Diposkan oleh Zainal Arifain

What is it with idiots in government who are trying to persuade us that there is a British nation? Usually it's aimed at the English as they pretty much know what the response from the Scots, Welsh and Northern Irish will be though they are now finding it harder and harder to persuade the English that they are anything other than English.

Telegraph.
Britons need to see themselves as a single nation, says Security Minister.
It is not enough for Muslims to “rub along” without breaking the law, they must be persuaded that their long-term future lies in Britain, the Security Minister has said.
OK, first things first, Muslims see themselves as Muslims first and last, it's part of the problem they have in integrating. Asian Muslims especially given the tribal nature of their ethnic groups also have a very difficult job in seeing beyond the boundaries of their family/tribe to the good of the nation in general, it's called amoral familism and it's a cancer which can drag a nation down into a multitude of warring factions, it's highly prevalent in the Muslim world and it's something they've been allowed to get away with over here in the name of multiculturalism.
Baroness Neville-Jones told the Daily Telegraph that that at the same time the government need to persuade the majority of the population that the UK is a single nation.
I'm English, not British, the only thing British about me is my passport and I'd change that if I could. Sots, Welsh and Northern Irish (to some extent) are the same. We no longer like to be called British, because we aren't.
“I think it’s a common experience now that we know less about each other than we used to and I think there’s a very strong feeling that we need to understand each other and we need to be working together as a nation,” Lady Neville-Jones added.
“[We are] trying to convince minorities in this country that they actually do have a long term future here and that it’s their country as much as anybody else’s,” she said in an interview.
It is also important to “convince the majority population we are a single nation,” she added.
We know less than we used too because previous governments allowed certain (religious) groups to keep themselves separate and not integrate. They also refuse to interact now as they believe we should integrate with them and not vice versa. If they wont integrate I'm sorry but they don't have a long term future here, because eventually they'll push too hard with something like Shariah law and they'll be expelled and because they wont integrate we'll know exactly where to find them.
Lady Neville-Jones will also say that those on the “right-wing extremist fringe” who argue that the West and Islam are “eternally irreconcilable” have “more in common with the Islamist extremists than they might like to think.”
So the right blow up tubes, fly planes into buildings, bomb buses, try to drive cars packed with explosives wrapped in nails into airports, burn poppies and abuse our soldiers for simply doing their jobs?
Somehow I don't think so.
She will also say that individuals who are on the path to radicalisation do not exist in a vacuum.
“They live in neighbourhoods, they meet friends and family, they use shops and businesses, and they come into contact with local public sector workers such as teachers, nurses or community police officers who may be well placed, especially if trained, to notice changes in behaviour,” she will say in a speech at the Council on Foreign Relations.

Hasn't worked too well so far, the Swedish bomber came from Luton, was (supposedly) expelled from his mosque for being a radical and even his Mrs didn't notice anything out of the ordinary other than he hated the country that had given him a home, but that it seems is normal for Islamists, many of whom have families that fled Islamic oppression and poverty only to end up with it following them and trying to turn the nations of the west into the same kind of intolerant shitholes they tried to escape.

So no, were not a single British nation, we might have technically been before devolution, but now we're a lot of nations trying to get on together with a major exception of one group who can't it seems get on with anyone, not even itself. The solution is obvious, but I doubt anyone in government will have the balls to express it. They integrate fully with us or they are asked politely to leave, we can tag on an "or else" if they won't politely leave.

Racism

Diposkan oleh Zainal Arifain

Playing the racist card, something that many on the left and certain sub groups are known for to try and divert attention away from something that is being criticised or speculated on in an ethnic or religious sub group, essentially it's a debate stopper used to shut down debate. Yet it's always fun to turn the tables and shine its light on some member of the righteous who comes up with something so outrageous yet can't see just how hypocritical they are for doing so..

Independent.
A Labour shadow minister was last night facing calls for her dismissal after she was recorded saying that the Government "don't want Muslims living in central London".
Ms Buck's comments were made at a public meeting in Islington. Sharing a platform with local MPs, Ms Buck suggested that planned cuts to housing benefit were politically motivated to force poor, ethnic minority and Muslim families out of the centre of London.
She said: "[The Government] do not want lower-income women, families, children and, above all, let us be very clear – because we also know where the impact is hitting – they don't want black women, they don't want ethnic minority women and they don't want Muslim women living in central London.
And what about the poor whites also living in London being hit by these measures? Well we don't know as Ms Buck seems to be concentrating on Labours pets, but it does seem to be somewhat hypocritical of Ms Buck to be accusing the government of racism when they are hitting everyone equally. Or does equality only count for black and ethnic minority women and Muslims these days whilst the rest of us can simply get on with being oppressed?
Now I can see exactly why the government has decided to limit housing benefit to £400 a week for the largest homes and £290 a week for two-bed flats, I may not agree with the figures, but I do see the point of putting a cap on the payments, we've basically run out of money and savings have to be made. This is an area they've looked at and that's what they decided to do and I somehow doubt that anyone in on the decision would have even thought that this is a good way to get at black, ethnic minority women as well as Muslims, nor do I expect they thought this would be a way to get at white people either, only an idiot would think otherwise and only an imbecile would announce what they thought to the world and as an average Labour MP, Ms Buck matches both points quite adequately.
There are calls for Ms Buck to be sacked, but if I were in the government, I'd say nothing, a loose cannon like Ms Buck in the Labour front benches is a gift from God simply because she's swallowed whole the guff that somehow ethnics are far more important than the indigenous and isn't afraid to say it or smart enough to qualify her statements. But she's clearly a racist for saying what she said, even if many on the left don't think you can be racist if you're defending ethnics, but Ms Buck clearly thinks that poor white people should be forced out of London whilst poor black, ethnic minority women and Muslims should be paid more to stay. Or that's how it reads to me anyway.

Multiculturalism failed?

Diposkan oleh Zainal Arifain

Well he's a bit behind Angela Merkel, but it seems as if iDave has seen where the wind is blowing even if the leftists haven't grasped it yet.

Reuters.
Multiculturalism has failed in Britain - Cameron
Cameron, in a speech to a security conference in Munich, will argue that Britain and other European nations need to "wake up to what is happening in our countries" as well as tackling terrorism through military operations overseas.
"It is time to turn the page on the failed policies of the past," he will say, according to extracts from his speech released by his office.
"So first, instead of ignoring this extremist ideology, we -- as governments and societies -- have got to confront it, in all its forms."
His comments echo those made by German leader Angela Merkel last year and reflect a push by European governments to better integrate immigrants, given persistent domestic tensions between different cultures.
Yet in a sense it hasn't failed, the EDL were marching in Luton today and contained, Englishmen, Scotsmen, Irishmen, Welshmen, Dutchmen, Germans, Americans, Sikh's, Hindu's, Pakistani Christians, Jews (including a Jewish Rabbi), Gays, Lesbians, Transgenders and no doubt a good few others, all genders, all races, all nations and all creeds, even a few Muslims.

Multiculturalism in action
No violence, no trouble, just EDL.
Yes a single issue has them all stirred up and no doubt should the issue be resolved the EDL will go away yet it shows that a nation can be united and can get on together.
The march appears to have attracted 4000+ EDL supporters (don't believe the BBC figures) and caused no trouble (as usual) from the EDL, though there were reports from Bury Park that the local Muslims had attacked the UAF supporters, though no official confirmation as yet.

UAF trying to appear to be bigger than they are in Luton today, note the sign :-D
Enter the EDL, I count at least 1500 and they aren't all on screen
Enter the UAF, I count about 300 taken at the same time the EDL entered the square.
Just for anonymous in the comments

So has multiculturalism failed? Yes and no, when it was forced upon us yes, when some groups appeared to be better treated than others, yes, when Labour used it as a vote rigging exercise, yes.
When people were simply left to get on with each other it works fine. We don't have problems in Chinatowns up and down the UK, we don't have problems with Hindu's and Sikhs trying to tell us how to live or adapt to them. Yes racism can be a problem, but hopefully we can get over that in time too, preferably without politicians getting involved legislating hate and inequality.
So iDave is band wagon jumping, but he really ought to know better, politicians were the reason multiculturalism failed and I'm sure his solution will fail too. The EDL forced you into this, ordinary people saying enough is enough iDave said said it was time to replace Britain's "passive tolerance" with an "active, muscular liberalism" to send a message that life in Britain revolves around certain key values such as freedom of speech, equal rights and the rule of law. In other words same old same old, he wants to legislate us into behaving.

My solutions far more simple, leave us alone, get us out of the EU, remove the Islamic threat (not Muslims) and we'll all get on fine.

Justifying paedophilia

There is a problem in the Pakistani Muslim community and it isn't just that they are Muslims. For years now the some of the young men in that community have been preying on and grooming under age girls from outside their community, not just white, but Sikh and Hindu girls as well. Finally the MSM had the courage to break the story and various other minions of the state poked their heads above the parapet to tell us yes they knew about it, but dared not report it further because it might be deemed "racist" if they did. So you'd think the Muslim community as a whole would be keeping their heads down and coming out with various platitudes such as "it's only a minority" and doing their best to use the term "Asian" rather than "Muslim" or "Pakistani" like most of their useful idiots on the left and in the MSM have been doing, though the Muslim talent for public relations and how to get it totally wrong is utterly astounding.
So, into the breach steps Lord Ahmed of Cartexting Rotherham to explain why these scum behaved as they did and it's all due to marrying their cousins (even the ones who weren't married it seems)

Express.
BRITAIN'S first Muslim peer last night attacked arranged first-cousin marriages for contributing to a spate of sex crimes committed by Pakistani men.
Lord Ahmed of Rotherham said the marriages were being used by depraved young men as an excuse to prey on “vulnerable girls”.
His comments follow a succession of court cases where Asian men have been prosecuted for targeting white teenage girls.
The Labour peer, who wants an end to cousin marriages, claimed Asian men target their victims at a young age because they feel there is less chance of getting caught.
He said: “They are married to girls from overseas who they don’t have anything in common with and they have children and a family but they are looking for fun in their sexual activities and seek out vulnerable girls.”
Last month, former Home Secretary Jack Straw provoked fury after claiming some men of Pakistani origin view white girls as “easy meat”.
The Labour MP for Blackburn spoke out after two Asian men who abused girls in Derby were given indeterminate jail terms.
Research suggests about 55 per cent of British Pakistanis marry their first cousins, who are typically from abroad.
Marriages between first cousins is lawful in Britain, but they are generally frowned upon.
So there you go, marrying your cousin turns you into a sex mad paedophile according at least to Lord Ahmed. The truth is rather more brutal of course, these men behaved in a depraved manner because people in authority and in their own communities chose to look the other way. Yes some of the blame must also be laid at the feet of the parents of these children too, though in some instances at least they may not have been aware of what was going on, or even cared. But the vast majority of the blame has to be laid at the feet of these men who deliberately sought to target vulnerable children from other communities because they knew full well what would happen if they did target their own. There is no justification in the world for what they did, nor any excuse and Lord Ahmed would have done well to have simply continued his campaign to end first cousin marriages without trying to excuse or justify these perverts behaviour.
I am sick to death of this stupid blame game played out in the MSM and our political elite over the rape and prostitution of these young girls. I'm sick to death of the avoidance of the discussion of the amount of men queuing up to pay to molest these children, some in their 50's following the example of their sick prophet no doubt, after all if it was good enough for Mohammed... And well past the age where they're over the distress of being forced into marriage if they ever were. I'm sick to death of the term Asian being used to disguise the fact that this is a Pakistani Muslim problem. It's not a Sikh problem, it's not a Hindu problem it most certainly isn't a Chinese problem and they are all Asians and sick to death no doubt about being tarred with a Pakistani Muslim perversion. I'm sick to death of people like Taji Mustafa, media spokesperson of Hizb ut-Tahrir who objects to the claims that Islam had anything to do with the issue as various newspapers had claimed. He said:
"Islam promotes respect for women regardless of their race, religion and ethnicity. In Islam, you are not allowed to drink, take drugs, engage in pre-marital sex or even have a girlfriend. So how can Islam be blamed for these heinous crimes?"
I suspect the fact that it was Muslims doing this that gives the game away, not Asians but Pakistani Muslims, despite the vast generalisation on the matter of who was actually doing it in the press and amongst politicians as well as the silence of various socialist groups like the SWP and the UAF who would be all over this if it was white guys preying on Muslim girls screaming racist no doubt. Since 1997, 56 people with an average age of 28 have been convicted of offences related to on-street grooming of girls aged 11 to 16. Of these, three were white and the rest Asian, of whom 50 were Muslim, with the majority British Pakistani, with more and more cases coming out of the woodwork. I'm totally sick of the stench of cover up as this seems to have been going on for years, even the fact that at the time the UK's youngest mum was only a mum because she was gang raped by Pakistani taxi drivers back in 2002 and still nothing was done other than for Labour to open the floodgates to even more immigration to rub the rights nose in multiculturalism. Well if this is one of the benefits of multiculturalism then count me out as a fan of it, not that I ever was, watching from the sidelines as all that was good about England was denigrated and contemptuously cast aside by Labour, the left and their pro British anti English mind set, which allowed this outrage to go on unchallenged until it could no longer be brushed under the mat and even then I reckon it would still be hidden and Jack Straw et al saying nothing and pretending the problem doesn't exist had not the Times finally got brave enough to do an article on it. I even remember Nick Griffin of the BNP being vilified  and prosecuted back in 2005 for saying it was going on. Since then the establishments, both legal and political, have ignored the continuing abuse and violence solely for their own benefit and to avoid getting accused of racism themselves.
I am absolutely horrified by this, authorities across the country knew this was going on for many years yet did NOTHING significant to effect the cessation of these vile acts, but elected instead to hide them under blankets of secrecy! They were culpable in withholding relevant information that would have helped to protect our country's children from abuse at the hands of Muslim paedophile gangs.
What gets me as well, is that as soon as these scum have done their time they'll vanish back into their communities and not be despised like we would despise.
That this could happen in my England is the most damning verdict on the Labour years in power, not the war in Iraq, not the financial waste and irregularities, but the despoliation of young girls by an alien culture encouraged to settle here and aided and abetted by a wall of silence by the authorities.

For the children?

Diposkan oleh Zainal Arifain

Adoption is a serious business local councils charged with it go to great lengths to try and place kids in their care with loving families and by and large they are successful, for a given value of successful. For it seems only the natives in this land are prepared to adopt in any great numbers, other ethnicities apparently not so and because they are over represented in the adoption agencies this is becoming a problem as any attempt to do anything about it immediately brings up the racist cries.

BBC.
The reluctance of some councils to arrange adoptions because of a child's race means the UK faces a collapse in adoption rates, the outgoing chief executive of Barnardo's has warned.
Martin Narey told the Guardian this "prejudice" was so entrenched that it would be difficult to reverse.
He said the adoption rate of babies must "quadruple" in the next few years.
Children's Minister Tim Loughton has said it is unacceptable to deny a child a home because of ethnic differences.
Children from ethnic minorities are over-represented among those seeking adoption, but it typically takes three times as long to place them.
Official figures show that 2,300 children were placed for adoption in 2009, compared with 2,500 the previous year, and down from 3,400 in 2005.
In about 20% of cases identified as suitable for adoption, no placement is found.
"The law is very clear. A child should not stay in care for an undue length of time while waiting for adoptive parents of the same ethnicity.
"But the reality is that black, Asian and mixed race children wait three times longer than white children," he said.
Tricky situation the righteous have created for themselves here, lots of, well lets call them white couples willing to adopt and lots of, lets call them coloured babies and kids up for adoption. But as every righteous knows, white people are racist and so shouldn't be allowed near coloured kids in case our intolerant culture rubs off on them and they find themselves adrift in society (no doubt believing that old whitey isn't racist at all which would be terribly wrong) and so they struggle to place them with members of their own ethnicity, because cultural differences mean that other ethnicities are reluctant to bring up someone else's sprogs as they tend to see the immediate family as far more important than the general nation. All attempts to get more Blacks and Asians to adopt runs into this brick wall, if the kids aren't family, they generally don't want to know, the correct term is amoral familism, but essentially it's a tribal thing.

This is the problem councils and adoption agencies have dug themselves into so sensitive have they become to criticisms of their own nations and people in regard to others that they are very, very reluctant to put kids into a loving home of a white family and would rather keep coloured kids in care.

So just who are the racists here?

You have to wonder at the path at which society is heading, where the native population are treated as second class citizens and denied access to rate payer funded ventures.

Mail.
Two mothers who were kicked out of a council-funded playgroup spoke of their humiliation today after being told the group was for immigrant families only.
Emma Knightley, 25, and Kimberley Wildman, 27, turned up at the 'Making Links' playgroup with their children Imogen, 21 months, and Olivia, 18 months.
But they were stunned when organisers at the centre in St Neots, Cambridgeshire, ordered them to leave after demanding to know 'what country are you from?'
The best friends were told that only foreign mothers and their children are welcome at the council-funded playgroup - which they have accused of discrimination.
Shop worker Emma, who lives in St Neots, booked a place at the playgroup six weeks ago after it was recommended by a mixed-race friend.
She said: 'The first thing I was asked about was my nationality and when I said I was British I was told we had to leave.
'She said are you not aware this is for foreign people only?
'I said I knew it was trying to integrate people into the community but didn't realise that meant British people and their children were banned.
'I felt humiliated. It shouldn't matter what nationality you are we shouldn't be discriminated against.
'You wouldn't get away with a British-only mum and children's group
Can you imagine the uproar if these two ladies had been any colour other than white? The state would have come down on them like a ton of bricks along with the Commission for Racial Equality as well as various other bleeding heart righteous groups. face it, you just wouldn't get away with it, it's along the same lines as the Black Police Association, try and set up a white one and see what you get, reverse discrimination at its finest.
It's even coming out of ratepayers (and probably taxpayers) money too from the local community for a facility that most wouldn't be allowed to join if they had kids. And if it's to help them integrate, why aren't there English kids around to help? Or could it be that it's just a mutually exclusive "non white" club that's cheap and not there to help them integrate at all but to help them keep apart?
I fear that a time is coming when this country is going to explode in riots and civil disobedience the likes that haven't been seen since the Chartist movement and at the brunt of it will be all those who don't look like they fit in. It unfortunately wont be the idiots who put policies like this in place, it will be those who were told that it was ok to stay apart from the populace.
No-one from St Neots Town Council was available for comment.
Sounds about right, I suspect they've gone to ground as this is one charge they'll struggle to give a decent answer too. After all how can anyone integrate if they aren't allowed to mix with the locals?
Roger Owen, administrator for Making Links, said 'We have had an issue with men turning up before and back then we told them the group is strictly for mothers so it's nothing to do with racial discrimination.'
No that makes it racist and sexist you prick!

A very lovely lady from the EDL forum pointed me to this article...

Standpoint.
" I shan't miss some locals' assumptions that, being a white woman, if I was outside after dark, as I occasionally was, usually to walk the few metres between my house and the church, I must be a prostitute eager to give them a blow job"
A brilliant summary from the vicars wife of an inner city parish struggling and losing against a tide of immigration from the middle east. The full article is well worth a read and places in context the real destruction that multiculturalism is putting on the embattled native population of England. It also shows the mind set of those who took it upon themselves to groom young girls from any faith other than their own for sexual purposes because at root they don't see women as equal to men and particularly don't see women of other faiths or beliefs as even being particularly human, simply something to use and abuse.
Yet even now after all the publicity over the cases you still have some out there desperately trying to excuse these vile acts or shift the blame to all. Despite mounting evidence that it is endemic in certain communities.
This is a statement issued by the organisation that ran the 'islamophobia and racism' UAF conference - the conference where the prestigious speakers ripped up the photos of black people in EDL, and attacked the Jew, Pakistani, homo and cameraman who had "stormed" the conference by paying at the door.

Link.
Jack Straw chose to make a damaging and unsubstantiated intervention, whipping up the Islamophobic responses to these cases. In a television interview he claimed both that these crimes are rife in the Muslim community as their cultural background means they do not have a sexual outlet, and – most shockingly – that they target white girls in particular as they are seen as ‘easy meat’.
Unsubstantiated? The guys doing this and others arrested were all from the Pakistani Muslim community, if you want to check out the MPAC forums, you'll find lots of evidence of them trying to shift the blame as well in some instances that they think those poor girls were asking for it.

There's something rotten going on at the heart of England, it's something vile introduced by politicians who allowed unrestricted immigration into our country. It's something evil protected by those who believe that multiculturalism works. It's been ignored by the mainstream media for years, it's caused communities to disintegrate, ghettoism, intolerance, misogyny, homophobia, prostitution and a belief that it is above criticism and presents a silent front to all who investigate its misdemeanour's, seeking only to excuse or shift blame. It's called Islam and I believe it has no place in a civilised country, not until it reforms root and branch and outs those within it who do these despicable acts!

My flag is a flag not a religious symbol!

Diposkan oleh Zainal Arifain

The Cross of St George is the flag of my country, it has a long history dating all the way back to 275/303 AD. It's known as the symbol that the crusaders wore over their armour, though that isn't as important to the English, well the Christian English at least. It's important to us because it's our flag and St George is our Saint, even though he has little to do (if anything) in our country. The earliest mention of him being by the Venerable Bede way back in 701 AD mentioned as a martyr only. The real significance of the flag comes when it was adopted by England and the City of London in 1190 for their ships entering the Mediterranean to benefit from the protection of the Genoese fleet during the Crusades and the English Monarch paid an annual tribute to the Doge of Genoa for this privilege. In England the Synod of Oxford, 1222 declared St. George's Day a feast day in the kingdom of England. Edward III put his Order of the Garter under the banner of St. George, probably in 1348. The chronicler Froissart observed the English invoking St. George as a battle cry on several occasions during the Hundred Years' War and so the Cross of St George was recognised as the flag of this land, not because of the crusades, but because it prevented our ships being plundered by the Genoese and so became recognised as the symbol of England.
However there are certain British who have a problem with this, despite it being part of the union flag.

Reading Chronicle.
THE English Defence League staged a protest in Reading today (Thursday) in support of a man arrested after hanging a St George’s flag outside a mosque.
Around 20 members of the controversial campaign group came from across the South East to demonstrate outside Reading Magistrates’ Court monitored by a heavy police presence.
Among them was co-founder Tommy Robinson, who told The Chronicle: “Our argument is with militant Islam. What’s far right about protecting women’s rights and gay people’s rights? The problem is the teachers of Islam, it’s got nothing to do with your colour. It all comes back to the Koran.”
Inside the court 37-year-old Tilehurst man Ronald Peterson was on trial for religiously aggravated harassment. The court heard he went to the partially built mosque in Oxford Road, west Reading, on May 30 to protest over the way its planning application was handled by the borough council.
Peterson, with two other men, draped the St George’s flag on a fence, posed for pictures and chanted “E, E, E.D.L” and “England”.
Witness Urfan Azad, 32, told the court he was in the nearby Reading Tea House and went outside after hearing the chanting.
He said he dialled 999 because he was concerned the situation could escalate, and added: “My concern was the flag needed to be taken off the fence because it might be seen by Muslims as a religious symbol. I felt upset about the whole incident. I’m British myself, I was born in Reading. It’s made me feel a bit socially excluded.”
Police arrived on the scene within minutes and, without warning him or giving him a chance to move on, arrested Peterson on the spot. Sgt Lee Barnham said he spoke to Mr Azad, and added: “He was offended by the use of what he considered to be a religious cross against the site of worship.
“It was clear he was upset and felt intimidated. I was satisfied an offence under the public order act had been committed.”
Peterson, who described the mosque as an “eyesore” and “monstrosity”, told the court he was unhappy because it had not been built in the required time but instead had planning permission re-granted and was given council funding.
Peterson denied being a racist but said he had a problem with the ideology of Islam. He added: “Go and see countries that are run by that ideology, it’s oppressive.”
District Judge Andrew Vickers reserved his verdict and the case was adjourned until January 13.
Yes, that's right, a certain type of British hates our flag and feels socially excluded from the rest of us. he also thinks that Muslim's (for he is a Muslim himself) might see it as a religious symbol, which as you can tell from the short history I've mentioned, it isn't. Nor do the police come out of this with any great merit, they could have asked the guy to take the flag down (though why should he, it isn't a crime) instead they locked him up without warning. But this shows that the cops are willing to charge someone for others being upset about their own mistaken perspectives. Azad's insinuating that anyone who flies the flag of England is perpetuating a particular religious angle, this really should have been laughed out of court as otherwise this leaves the judge on a very prickly fence any other outcome would put the cross of St George at risk and alienating a very large percentage of the country who support their football team for one.

Of course you can go vice versa too with this whole religious offence malarkey.

So this:
"Witness Urfan Azad, 32, told the court he was in the nearby Reading Tea House and went outside after hearing the chanting. He said he dialled 999 because he was concerned the situation could escalate, and added: “My concern was the flag needed to be taken off the fence because it might be seen by Muslims as a religious symbol. I felt upset about the whole incident. I’m British myself, I was born in Reading. It’s made me feel a bit socially excluded."

Can be changed to this:
"Witness John Smith, 32, told the court he was in the nearby Reading Tea House and went outside after hearing the chanting. He said he dialled 999 because he was concerned the situation could escalate, and added: “My concern was the Mosque needed to be taken down because it might be seen by non-Muslims as a religious symbol. I felt upset about the whole incident. I’m British myself, I was born in Reading. It’s made me feel a bit socially excluded."

It strikes me that the police are over compensating for previous neglect and it is time all hate crime procedure was put in perspective in relation to crime as a whole and that flying the flag of your country in your country can never ever be seen as a hate crime. Mr Azad should himself have been arrested for wasting police time.

Exclusively white?

Diposkan oleh Zainal Arifain

You have to wonder at press reports and not just at national level.

Kingston Guardian.
Protesters chanting slogans against Muslim extremists marched through Kingston town centre this morning.
About 60 people, who were exclusively white, walked from Hampton Wick station across Kingston bridge and gathered in front of the Bentall Centre.
They chanted "Muslim bombers off our streets" and displayed Union Jacks and a large wooden poppy.
The 30-minute protest was peaceful and the protesters dispersed quietly.
Organiser Ben Baty, 20, said it was a protest against the burning of poppies.
They denied being linked to any group, but one man carried a St George's cross bearing the letters EDL (English Defence League).
Does it matter what colour the people are? Is "exclusively white" just a hidden code for racist/fascist/Nazi? I suspect that's the point they are trying to make. There's also the attempt to link it to the EDL who "everyone knows" are racist/fascist/Nazi's save perhaps the multi-ethnic EDL and a growing number of people who have watched what they do (and don't do).
Well I have news for the Kingston Guardian, there are other organisations out there who also oppose extreme Islam and were disgusted by the burning of poppies. March for England are one but in this case it was the Casuals who although they have links with the EDL, are not the EDL, they're the football fans that the EDL grew out of.
Other incidents are starting to gain more and more publicity and all the mealy mouthed platitudes spouted off by the authorities are no longer being believed as they jibe against what people actually see and experience.

Sunday Mercury.
POLICE fear Midland Territorial Army recruits who claim they have been racially abused while wearing their uniforms are victims of hate crimes.
The cadets say they have been verbally abused and spat at while walking to training sessions near Blues’ St Andrews stadium in Bordesley, Birmingham.
One recruit has reported that driver slowed down his car, wound down his window and shouted: “I hope you get blown up by an IED.”
Another says he was chased by a group of Asian youths who screamed insults and spat at him.
West Midlands Police said they are investigating the allegations.
Last night a spokesman said: “I am not willing to discuss our security arrangements on an individual basis. I think it is fair to say these were isolated incidents."
Sooner or later the press and media are going realise it isn't just a small minority who are protesting about this stuff and noticing what's going on. It's pretty much the entire country and we're getting very, very angry about it.

Riding the Tiger

It's always nice to see someone's true colours being dragged kicking and screaming into the light, literally in this case.

Independent.
A man was being questioned today after gangs of youths attacked police officers following an anti-racist march, Scotland Yard said.
Cordons were set up to stop people going up Whitechapel Road, in east London, because officers feared random attacks on members of the public.
The scenes followed a rally, organised by Unite Against Fascism, that attracted several thousand people.
It was organised in response to another rally planned by the far-right English Defence League (EDL) which was called off earlier this week.
A police spokesman said yesterday's UAF rally was "well organised and well stewarded" but a group of young men gathered outside the nearby East London Mosque in response to rumours the EDL were planning a protest.
He said: "The group numbered up to 300, who were very volatile. Despite continued excellent attempts by stewards and representatives from the East London Mosque to control the crowds, even placing themselves in danger, there was the risk of serious disorder.
"Police officers were attacked by the crowd at points throughout the afternoon. One member of the public was attacked at random by members of the crowd as those gathered surged up and down the Whitechapel Road.
"In order to prevent injuries to the public and officers, and serious disorder, police withdrew from the immediate area and a series of filter cordons were put in place. The cordons were used to prevent access to parts of Whitechapel Road due to concerted efforts by the crowd to attack people at random."
The cordon was in place for two hours.
One person was arrested for assault and was being held for questioning.
A spokesman for Unite Against Fascism said around 5,000 took part in the march from Stepney to Whitechapel.
He said: "I heard there were a few nasty scuffles between local youths and police but certainly the demo was very positive and a really good vibe."
So, Moslem youths decided to attack the police and ordinary people at random, the UAF were stirring up trouble in the area and oddly enough there was no sign of the EDL, who had cancelled their march as the main aim of banning a lunatic Moslem preacher had been achieved. Strangely enough the police even retreated at one stage allowing the extremists control of the area. Only one arrest though, yet when the Moslems against Crusaders held their little spat in welcoming troops home there were 2 arrests of two English people who objected to their vile insults.
I'm beginning to wonder just what it will take to bring a police crackdown on the real extremists. Extremist Moslems and the UAF have time and time demonstrated their contempt for law and order, for ordinary people and seem to be the modern day version of a rent-a-mob. These people, not the EDL are a threat to the UK, they are the ones rioting, they are the ones using violence against ordinary people. They are the voices of hate on today's streets. Yet our toadying politicians do nothing, many have even given their assent to the leftist UAF including David Cameron. Yet ordinary people now wonder just who the enemy of society is, certainly it doesn't appear to be the EDL whose aims as far as I can tell appear to be the removal of extremist Islam from England and who seem to have members from all parts of society in their group, including oddly enough a couple of Muslims.
Seems to me the real fascists are in the UAF and Extreme Islam.

Patriotism, Jingoism and Nationalism

Diposkan oleh Zainal Arifain

What is it about England that brings out such hatred in some people? Some hate the patriotism that often occurs  when the English are involved in sporting events, equating it to nationalism and/or jingoism, yet are quite happy to see other nations and fans flying their flags. However when they see the English do the same, they hate it because the English must all be BNP supporters, hypocrisy writ large if ever there was a case. They even have all the trite leftist phrases down including the right wing bit (as if the BNP were ever right wing) and can't seem to recognise that the only bigotry on display is their own.
It of course goes further, Julie Burchill in the Daily Mail positively froths at the mouth in the hope that England will go out of the competition quickly so all those horrid little Englanders will get rid of those awful dull St Georges flags and go back to the inclusive majesty of the Union Jack. (strangely enough the flag of the BNP) Of course in Burchill's case it's simply beyond the pale that anyone but a bunch of hooligans would love their own country rather than be British like her.
So, yes, however cross it might make you, I will count the days until England come home with their tails between their legs once again, and the St George's cross - temporarily hijacked in the name of football - is replaced once more by the brave, beautiful Union Jack as a flag the nation can really be proud of.
Once again proving there are some who simply don't get it, people who count themselves as English, now rarely count themselves as British, not any more, not since Britishness was hijacked by the Labour party in an effort to regionalise, marginalise and remove the name of England from the UK. If asked, you'll probably find that the only British thing about them is their passport. These are the people who may have a flag of St George on their cars or draped on their house and will shout to the rooftops their support for England in the world cup, yet a quick check would no doubt prove that they don't have a union flag in the house, nor would have a use for one if they did. Are they racist? Possibly, nay probably some are, yet 6 doors up from me is a house draped in the Flag of St George and the family living there? Well they're from the Indian subcontinent, but they are supporting England in the world cup because it's their team and their country.
And that's what the haters are missing, it's not about racism, jingoism or extreme nationalism, it's just ordinary people being patriotic about their team and the country they represent. They can't accept that England fans come in all shades of colour, religion or political status, to them all England fans are the same, nasty vicious closet (at best) racists. They see something they don't understand about a country they loathe (it used to be Britain, but that changed) and they tar the ordinary people with the broad brush of stereotypical racism, no doubt it makes the British feel superior, if making them look like bigots themselves in the eyes of ordinary folk.
I just wish that people would get off the backs of the English for doing what other nations do, it's no different to Brazilians, Uruguayans, Italians, Germans etc flying their flags and supporting their teams and wanting them to win. In that, the English are no different to anyone else. Nor is it arrogance to believe or state that we're in with a chance, ask any fan about their team and you'll get such statements, even though most fans are well grounded in reality and know just how well their team will actually do (As a Newcastle supporter I know this all too well) but you always live in hope and you never abandon that hope either, not till the final whistle.
It would be nice for a change for the English to be left to be English, to support their team through good and bad without the baggage of other peoples hypocrisy and bigotry being transferred to them.
Hating the English seems like hating the USA to be an acceptable form of bigotry for some people and that needs to change. They, not the English, need to grow up.
